Timothy Taylor will present a new suite of paintings by Los Angeles-based artist Hilary Pecis for the inaugural edition of Frieze Abu Dhabi.
Created specifically for the fair, these paintings extend Pecis’s signature engagement with contemporary life through meticulously observed interiors, landscapes, and still lifes. Drawing from photographs, memory, and direct observation, her compositions translate everyday environments into vivid, densely layered pictures that balance formal precision with an acute sense of place.
Presented in the region for the first time, the works continue Pecis’s investigation of how painting can distil the details, environments, and experiences of everyday life.
