The Obama Presidential Center features more than 28 commissioned artworks, including Receive by Kiki Smith—the largest bronze work of the artist’s career to date.

Installed in the Hope and Change Lobby, the site-specific sculpture depicts the moon and stars. Its celestial imagery extends Smith’s long-standing engagement with these motifs, reflecting on our shared connection to the cosmos and offering a sense of hope, orientation, and solace within the museum.
