In These Times: Recent Acquisitions at MOCA surveys works acquired by the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, over the past five years, exploring themes including representations of Los Angeles, portraiture and contemporary abstraction. Hilary Pecis is featured with Silverlake Hillside (2025), which was previously exhibited in her 2025 exhibition Wandering at Timothy Taylor. Inspired by a freeway exit ramp she passed daily for five years, the painting reflects her practice of transforming familiar urban environments into carefully constructed compositions.
